Faun believes in uplifting and empowering people, specifically women, across the globe. This is why we only partner with certified ethical producers who support the well-being of the people who make our clothes. This means fair and safe working conditions and earning above a living wage. Our collections are sustainably made by our partners in Vietnam and Hong Kong.
ECO-Friendly Fabrics
The textile industry is one of the leading contributors of pollution in countries with large apparel manufacturing sectors. All Faun’s designs make use of eco-friendly and recycled deadstock fabrics to help minimize our environmental impact. Our knit pieces are made from Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) material. BCI is the largest cotton sustainability program in the world. This program helps cotton communities survive and thrive, while protecting and restoring the environment. They focus on improving the lives of farmers, workers, their communities, and their education, knowledge, and well-being.
Conscious design
Today’s trends are changing at an alarming rate. With this, we’ve seen a rise in purchases in fast fashion, giving power to companies with little regard for their workers or the environment. These garments are made to fall apart and with fabric composed of petrochemicals, they will not only sit in landfills for hundreds of years, but also leach out harmful chemicals. Faun wants to give you an alternative: thoughtfully made clothing.
Rather than contribute to the wasteful trend cycle, Faun focuses on designing timeless wardrobe staples you will love for years to come. We produce limited inventory to minimize overstock and use pattern design technologies and machine knitting to minimize excess fabric waste.
